Cleft SurgeryOur two children did have their cleft surgeries which were very successful! One little boy had his lip repaired and one little girl, already 4 years old, had her palate repaired. Both have had great results. The funds raised went to transportation and the cost of having ayis stay with the children round the clock through their pre-op and post-op hospital stays. Thank you so much. |
Music"Music is the fourth great material want, first food, then clothes, then shelter, then music."
What a great outpouring to give our kids the gift of music! We purchased four portable music players, much nicer and more durable than the CD players we had purchased in the past that always seemed to break. These use a flashdrive, so it's super easy to download and add new music. Each home received a flashdrive of children's songs in Chinese and English, and after our recent music therapy training I added another fifty or so songs, both in Chinese and instrumental. The kids are enjoying the music very much! But there's more...there were some funds left over and those will go to provide a music system and music therapy tools for our new school. |
Bring Me Hope CampYou provided enough funds to send Hong Wei (far right) to Bring Me Hope as a translator for two weeks. He loved the whole experience, especially the fun times singing. The team really appreciated his ability to control a room full of little boys!
Several people also sent donations directly to Bring Me Hope to support our kids' week at camp. THANK YOU! We sent 30 children to camp, and every single one had the time of his life. Really. |
