Day 22 - Naya and Hannah
Be joyful in hope, patient in trouble, and persistent in prayer. Romans 12:12
Once again, today's focus is not on a program or an organization, but on two children who need your prayers: Two little girls who both started their life in China and were abandoned due to serious heart defects which probably seemed insurmountable to their parents. Tonight one little girl is fighting for her life in the US after an unsuccessful surgery, and one is undergoing an equally critical surgery in China. One little girl has her mama by her side; the other is a baby with no mama, but she is also not alone thanks to Butterfly Childrens Homes.
If you have read some of the articles on Lent you know that this season isn't just about giving up something, but on preparing our hearts, minds, and bodies to be more in tune with God. Prayer and contemplation is an element that we seem to be able to overlook in our busy lives, but as Jesus went into the desert to fast and pray, prayer is truly at the center of the Lenten process of preparation. Will you set aside some time in your busy day to pray for these girls?
