Click below for a wonderful list of Lenten readings and reflections from a wide variety of Christian traditions. Use one (or several!) of these to guide you through this special season. Please comment on any reflections which you find particularly humbling or inspiring so others can share the experience. Feel free to add other resources in a comment as well.
Lenten Readings
This site will give you a wide choice of daily Lenten readings, poetry and reflections. Browse through to find one (or two) that speak to you.
Thanks to my son for compiling this resource.
Lent Reflections
Bishop Barron has been a great part of kindling my interest in and enthusiasm for observing Lent. I hope you will read at least one or two of his messages this season. You can also sign up to receive his messages via email daily.
The Lent Project:
A 54-day aesthetic meditation on Christ’s life, death and resurrection. Each day will offer a guided reflection--though Scripture, words, poetry, music, film or visual art--to help us focus in on the beauty of Christ’s story. Definitely check this out. (Biola Lent Project)
Bible Reading, Prayer and Art
This site (Revised Common Lectionary) has Scripture reading by week or by day as well as links to prayers and related artwork. This is the most traditional of the resources on this page.
More Lenten Readings
This site has a very long list of possible reading plans as well as creative activities for children and adults and apps (of course).
Read THE WHOLE BIBLE in 40 Days!
Wow! What an incredible challenge. Click HERE for the reading guide. Or HERE for directions to download an audible version. Amazing! Both resources are free. And amazing!
