Day 6 - ELIM Kids - A Home for Hannah and Nathan
We were recently asked to take over care for a 7 year old girl and her 4 year old brother.
These children have experienced more rejection and abandonment than we can ever imagine.
Recently they have been taken in by a shelter for homeless children. They described being so
hungry at night that they would creep into the bathroom and eat soap!
Blood tests showed that they were HIV positive - a diagnosis much feared by many people in
China. They were then given to the local orphanage who refused to care for them due to their HIV.
They are currently in isolation rooms in a local hospital and waiting for us to place them in a home
with food, life saving medication and most of all acceptance and love.
ELIM Kids would like to fundraise to provide Hannah and Nathan with medication, love, education, and most of all, a home where they can be safe and cared for. They are in need of $1600 per month to bring these two children into an ELIM home. While that seems like a lot, just a single $100 donation by 200 people would provide the funds needed for a full year of care for these kids. We would so much appreciate any donations to help these little ones smile again. Can you help with a $100 donation (just once!) as well as by telling at least 2 other people Hannah and Nathan's story? No one can do it all, but we can all do something. Thank you!
